Desa DeVore Buffum, known as DeeDee, has resided in the Mystic, Connecticut to Watch Hill, Rhode Island area since 1971. Her post college professional career found her engaged in the 1980s real estate market as a licensed Rhode Island and Connecticut real estate agent. Married life provided the opportunity to join in the management of two family owned, seasonal resorts, the Manasota Beach Club of Englewood, Florida and the Weekapaug Inn of Westerly, Rhode Island. In 1997, Jim and DeeDee Buffum became year-round residents of Weekapaug, Rhode Island, established their children in local schools, and made a commitment to direct their Weekapaug Inn onward to another generation. The Buffums are actively planning a top to bottom green renovation of the historic Weekapaug Inn. Recognition for their Weekapaug Inn has included being named by Forbes.com as a Top 10 Beach Resort in the World and a Best Family Resort, as well as recently being recognized to the National Register of Historic Places. Today, DeeDee brings her innkeepers sensibilities, service oriented skills, and her love and in-depth knowledge of the area to her career in real estate.
